(NASDAQ: AAON) was recognized for excellence in product design in the 13th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. An independent panel of contractors acted as judges in the contest that had 88 entries. The company's LZ Series was the Gold Award Winner in the HVAC Commercial Equipment category. The ACHR News is the leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration industries.

AAON LZ Series air-cooled or evaporative-cooled condenser chillers and outdoor mechanical rooms are an energy efficient solution for chilled water systems. A large walk-in service access vestibule allows a complete hydronic system with pumping package to be factory installed and serviced in the outdoor mechanical room. Available from 45-540 tons, the high performance LZ Series is available with VFD controlled variable speed scroll compressors or Turbocor variable capacity oil-free magnetic bearing centrifugal compressors. Factory installed 98% efficiency condensing boilers with pumping packages are available in the LZ Series outdoor mechanical room for applications that require a hot water system. Energy saving waterside economizers are also available factory installed for chilled water systems that require cooling at low ambient conditions.
