BJ’s Charitable Foundation Donates $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. -- 

BJ’s Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ), a leading operator of membership warehouse clubs in the Eastern United States, today announced a $10,000 donation from the BJ’s Charitable Foundation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast. BJ’s donation will support the Boys & Girls Clubs holiday party for over 90 children and will provide fundamental supplies for the club and its participants.

“BJ’s is committed to providing basic essentials to the families and children in our local communities,” said Kirk Saville, executive director, BJ’s Charitable Foundation. “We’re thrilled to help this incredible organization continue to provide a safe place for the children of Pensacola to learn and grow.”

With the $10,000 grant from BJ’s Charitable Donation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast will provide gifts, food and other holiday essentials for the annual holiday party. The grant will also provide supplies to support the Boys & Girls Clubs’ operational needs.

For 50 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast (BGCEC) has provided safe and positive environments for youth between the ages of 5 and 18 during out-of-school time. BGCEC offers a variety of nationally recognized programs that address today’s most pressing youth issues. The programs teach young people the skills they need to succeed in life, while providing a safe place for more than 2,450 Northwest Florida children to go after school and during the summer. BGCEC provides programs in three Priority Outcome Areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles at eight club sites in Escambia, Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
