Cboe Global Markets Announces Appointments of Three Executives to its Markets Division

- Arianne Criqui joins Cboe as Senior Vice President, Head of Options and Business Development

- Robert Hocking joins Cboe as Senior Vice President, Head of Derivatives Strategy

- Matthew McFarland promoted to Vice President, Head of Futures, Cboe Futures Exchange

(Cboe: CBOE), one of the world's largest exchange holding companies, today announced it has hired Arianne Criqui as Senior Vice President, Head of Options and Business Development, and Robert Hocking as Senior Vice President, Head of Derivatives Strategy. The company also announced the promotion of Matthew McFarland to Vice President, Head of Futures, Cboe Futures Exchange (CFE).  All three will hold leadership positions within the Markets division of Cboe Global Markets.

As Senior Vice President, Head of Options and Business Development, Arianne Criqui will oversee the overall strategy and performance of Cboe's U.S. options business unit, including pricing strategy, product features and other business metrics, and will lead the company's cross asset class business development efforts, focusing on managing existing relationships and cultivating new customers while maximizing cross selling opportunities. 

Most recently, Arianne served as Vice President, Head of Electronic Options Sales Distribution within the Equity Derivatives Sales team at Goldman Sachs.  She previously held executive sales positions at Capstone Investment Advisors and Merrill Lynch. 

As Senior Vice President, Head of Derivatives Strategy, Rob Hocking will oversee the strategic vision for Cboe's proprietary product franchise and serve as an advisor to the executive, business leads and product teams to help shape and drive the company's roadmap for current and next-generation derivatives products. Rob's product expertise will support the company's overall derivatives strategy, new product creation and business development efforts. 

Rob has been a member/Trading Permit Holder (TPH) of Cboe Options Exchange since 2001 and most recently served as Global Head of Equity Volatility Trading at DRW Trading Group.  Prior to DRW, he held positions at Goldman Sachs and Hull Trading, specializing in index derivatives trading.    

As Vice President, Head of Futures, at Cboe Futures Exchange (CFE), Matt McFarland will set the strategic direction for the exchange including pricing, the day-to-day and long-term strategies to meet customers' needs as well as the competitive positioning of the exchange.  He was promoted from his current role of Senior Director, Cboe Futures Exchange Business Strategy and Operations. 

Matt is an 11-year veteran of Cboe, who previously spent 10 years at JP Morgan in equity derivative sales.  He started his career on the trading floor of the Chicago Board of Trade in 1993.
