TORONTO, Dec. 4, 2018

TORONTO, Dec. 4, 2018 /CNW/ -- In connection with the national day of mourning that has been declared in the United States in honor of the late President George H.W. Bush, Federated Investors Canada ULC today announced that on Dec. 5, 2018, Federated Strategic Value U.S. Equity Dividend Fund is suspending the right of fund shareholders to request that the fund redeem its securities.  The redemption right will only be suspended on Dec. 5, 2018, and the fund will resume fulfilling redemption requests and new purchase orders on Dec. 6, 2018.

On the national day of mourning Wednesday, Dec. 5, normal trading will be suspended on certain U.S. exchanges where securities trade that represent more than 50 percent by value of the total assets of the fund without allowance for liabilities. For this reason, Federated has determined that it is in the best interests of the fund to suspend, for the whole of the suspension date, the redemption right, in accordance with National Instrument 81-102 – Investment Funds.

The payment by the fund of redemption proceeds the fund has an obligation to pay for shares that have been redeemed is postponed during the suspension date. No purchase order for fund shares will be accepted during the suspension date.
