IGEN Launches First-Ever Vehicle Centric Driver Scorecard as Part of Next Generation Automotive IoT Platform

MURRIETA, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 29, 2018 / IGEN Networks Corporation (OTCQB: IGEN, CSE: IGN), a leading innovator of cloud-based and Internet of Things (IoT) automotive solutions for the protection and management of mobile assets, today announced the launch of the first-ever vehicle centric driver scorecard as part of IGEN's Next Generation IoT Platform. The new scorecard and platform will be launched at SEMA 2018, the premier automotive specialty products trade event held annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center, drawing the industry's brightest minds and hottest products to one place.

"Over the past year, the IGEN team has worked relentlessly to develop our Next Generation Automotive IoT Platform with many times the capabilities of our closest competitor and a significant increase in infrastructure to support our continued rapid growth in subscribers," said Neil G. Chan, CEO. "Having transitioned to Amazon Web Services (AWS) earlier this the year, we now have the capacity to support growth beyond 1 million subscribers. Our coding methodology and user interface are state-of-the-art, leveraging Facebook and Google design techniques to present the best mobile interface experience for our customers. As part of this upgrade, we have included a new cloud-based platform optimized for ease of connectivity with third-party applications, creating an extensive eco-system of compelling services."

"Along with significant improvements in scalability and service reliability, we have incorporated a much broader range of applications and driver analytics for our customers," said Cameron Wills, Director of Product Marketing. In addition to new user features, we also bolstered the back-end application with management tools to support rapid growth across multiple end markets. This includes complete integration with Dealership Management Systems (DMS) that now provide IGEN products for sale through Financing and Insurance channels at more than 9,000 dealerships across the US.

"We have also launched the industry's first consumer Vehicle-Centric Driver Score Card with patented, protected attributes optimized for the insurance industry," said Wills. "This provides peace-of-mind for families sharing their automotive vehicles, as well a way to monitor and improve driver behavior through proactive scoring of real driving data. The IGEN Driver Score Card assesses actual driver behavior and assignes a score tied to the vehicle. By uising IGEN's advanced hardware and software platform, a reliable and accurate Score Card is generated based on a comprehensive look at how the vehicle is driven. The IGEN Driver Score Card is a dramatic leap forward in driver analytics compared with smart-phone based hardware currently used in the insurance industry that captures limited data metrics. Additionally, by putting the IGEN Driver Score Card in the consumer's hands, drivers are incentivized to improve their performance behind the wheel and become the best drivers they can be."

"The IGEN brand Medallion GPS will be located at Booth 12074 at SEMA 2018 from October 31 to November 2," said Abel Sierra, Vice President & General Manager. "We are delighted with the launch of our Next Generation Platform along with the participation of our strategic channel partners Advantage Parts Solutions and Sprint."
