MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. --

MobileIron (NASDAQ:MOBL), the company that introduced the industry’s first mobile-centric, zero trust platform for the enterprise, today announced that it has been named a November 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Unified Endpoint Management Tools. The Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice is a recognition of vendors by verified end-user professionals, acknowledging “the best unified endpoint management tools as reviewed by customers.”

Gartner maintains rigorous criteria for evaluating vendors. To be named a Customers’ Choice, vendors must have a product that is aligned to the market, achieve an overall rating (out of 5 stars) equal or higher than the mean rating for that market, and meet coverage requirements for volume and diversity of reviews across industry verticals, company sizes and deployment regions.

What MobileIron customers are saying:

“We are proud to be named a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for the UEM market for the third time in a row,” said Brian Foster, SVP of Product Management, MobileIron. “We have continued to innovate and expand upon our UEM platform to help our customers defend against modern threats and increase productivity. When we introduced a revolutionary zero sign-on experience to eliminate passwords from the enterprise, we ensured that it delivered the best user experience as well as the highest security. We believe this recognition validates our platform’s ability to secure the modern digital workplace and our company’s vision that mobile devices are the future of digital ID.”

Gartner defines Unified Endpoint Management Tools as those that “act as a single console to manage the aforementioned device types and allow for scalable management of a broad and diverse set of endpoints to: combine the management of multiple endpoint types in a single console and perform the following functions: configure, manage and monitor traditional mobile devices, PCs and device management of Internet of Things (IoT) assets and device management of Internet of Things (IoT) assets; unify the application of data protection, device configuration, and usage policies, provide a single view of multidevice users for enhancing efficacy of end-user support and gathering workplace analytics; and act as a coordination point to orchestrate the activities of related endpoint technologies such as identity services, security infrastructure, and CMTs.”

MobileIron was named a Leader in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Endpoint Management Tools. Additionally, MobileIron was recognized in the 2019 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Unified Endpoint Management Tools report.

About MobileIron

MobileIron is redefining enterprise security with the industry’s first mobile-centric, zero trust platform built on the foundation of unified endpoint management (UEM) to secure access and protect data across the perimeter-less enterprise. Zero trust assumes that bad actors are already in the network and secure access is determined by a “never trust, always verify” approach. MobileIron goes beyond identity management and gateway approaches by utilizing a more comprehensive set of attributes before granting access. A mobile-centric, zero trust approach validates the device, establishes user context, checks app authorization, verifies the network, and detects and remediates threats before granting secure access to a device or user.

The MobileIron security platform is built on the foundation of award-winning and industry-leading unified endpoint management (UEM) capabilities with additional zero trust-enabling technologies, including zero sign-on (ZSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and mobile threat defense (MTD). Over 19,000 customers, including the world’s largest financial institutions, intelligence agencies and other highly regulated companies, have chosen MobileIron to enable a seamless and secure user experience by ensuring only authorized users, devices, apps, and services can access business resources.
