SEATTLE --

In time for the 2017 NFL draft, the highly respected scouting analysts at NFLDraftScout.com are moving their digital home to Maven’s coalition of independent publishers (Maven.io, ticker symbol MVEN).

Created by pioneering journalist and sports historian Frank Cooney, NFLDraftScout.com is a major source of insight not just for fans but other media outlets and NFL teams. This partnership is the Maven team’s first step back into sports.

“NFLDraftScout.com has distinguished itself as the best in its arena on numerous media sites for three decades and we see a mutual benefit in joining a fresh, growing collaboration such as Maven,” says Cooney. “We also see significant opportunities for other publications our company produces to join Maven in the future.”

The channel tracks players, analyzing and ranking them by position, projecting their NFL chances and following developments ranging from injuries to pre-draft workouts.

Roughly 5 percent of college football players advance to an NFL tryout and of that group, only 2 percent survive the final roster cut. NFLDraftScout.com runs the numbers and analyzes the talent for easy fan research and projection.

“NFLDraftScout.com is our first live channel in the sports category and a true heavyweight in their arena,” says Maven CEO James Heckman. “They are experts who have built a broad and passionate audience. That is what our Maven coalition is all about. Together, across a vast array of content verticals that now includes NFL scouting, we partner with ‘mavens only’ – content titans; clear leaders in their field of expertise.”

Maven is a coalition of mavens operating on a shared digital publishing, advertising and distribution platform, unified under a single media brand. Based in Seattle, Maven is publicly traded under the ticker symbol MVEN.
