Pebblebrook Hotel Trust Announces Sixth and Newest Addition to the “Unofficial Z Collection” with Launch of The Hotel Zags Portland

Pebblebrook Hotel Trust (NYSE: PEB) (the “Company”) today announced that it has completed its transformation of The Hotel Zags Portland, previously Hotel Modera in downtown Portland. The 174-room upper-upscale hotel underwent a full renovation, transformation and rebranding. The Hotel Zags Portland is now the sixth ‘Z’ Hotel in the “Unofficial Z Collection,” the Company’s individually curated portfolio of urban lifestyle hotels, and the first ‘Z’ Hotel located outside of San Francisco.

The Hotel Zags Portland explores the relationship between nature, art and play through a local Portland lens and is inspired by the eccentric art culture of the quirky Portland area. Guests escape to this urban oasis as they are welcomed by a courtyard bathed in lush local greenery, with living walls, an artistic and unique “globed” fireplace and an environmentally friendly green roof. The hotel boasts a new Gear Shed fully equipped with everything needed for an experiential urban adventure in the Portland area, including scooters, skateboards & bicycles, Go-Pros, cameras & binoculars, backpacks & fishing rods, and more, allowing travelers to connect with the city’s local hidden gems and distinctive energy, all free of charge. And on-property, hotel guests, wedding parties and business & social groups can enjoy The Colosseum, an adult game room with table top shuffleboard, a pool table, video games, darts, and many family-oriented games providing fun for all. Guests will also have access to a one-of-a-kind vending machine that distributes artwork from local artists.
