TORONTO, Jan. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - Pivot Technology Solutions, Inc. (TSX: PTG), a full-service information technology provider, today announced the creation of three new service channels as part of its strategy to deliver better and more consistent performance in its services business and across all operations.

The three new channels are Pivot Workforce Solutions, Pivot Managed Services, and Fulfillment Services.  Workforce Solutions' mission is to develop a standard, centralized and consistent process for acquiring resources by leveraging proven recruiting companies that provide best practices, best pricing and best value. Board and Management Transitions

As part of planned transitions, Pivot also announced that effective January 1, 2017, Warren Barnes has stepped down from the Company's Board of Directors and Shaun Maine has resigned as an officer of New Prosys Corp. Mr. Maine has also resigned as Chief Operating Officer of Pivot.

"Warren and Shaun have played formative roles in our Company since its founding and with their support, we have taken the last few months to create the next generation of leadership at Pivot needed to move our strategy forward," said Kevin Shank, President and Chief Executive Officer. "On behalf of our employees and shareholders, I thank Warren and Shaun for their many years of inspired leadership and their dedication in assisting with this deliberate succession."

Mr. Barnes joined Pivot in 2010 as CFO of one of the Company's divisions and later as Chief Executive Officer. He became a member of the Board of Directors in 2013. Mr. Maine also served in a variety of roles at Pivot since 2010 including in senior leadership at one of the Company's divisions, Chief Technology Officer and as COO.  Mr. Maine will continue to act in a consulting capacity to Mr. Shank.

Since becoming CEO in May, 2016, Mr. Shank has recruited several senior business leaders with specialized expertise and experience: Matt Olsen, Chief Strategy Officer, Brian Kyle, Chief Financial Officer, and Mike Flanagan, Executive Vice President, Unified Portfolio Technology to name a few.

"These talented individuals join a very strong existing management team at Pivot," said Mr. Shank.  "Together, we have tremendous industry knowledge and sales capabilities that we are employing to effect positive change and profitable growth across the Pivot network."

The Company's Board of Directors has now initiated a search to recruit a new Director who has skills, experience and business relationships that are relevant to Pivot's future as part of its strategy to advance its governance as a newly listed TSX member. The Board is led by Wade Dawe as Chairman of the Board. As an accomplished entrepreneur, financier and investor, Mr. Dawe has founded or co-founded several successful companies and currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Fortune Bay Corp. and as a Director of Immunovaccine Inc., and kneat.com, inc.
