A team in Annapolis, Maryland, won in the employee category for its fun seasonal tribute to the company’s best on-site features. And an adventurous dad won in the fan category for his celebration of National Parks Week, featuring a “snow”-saucer ride down a sand dune. Each group took home $250.

After the company announced the contest in early November, many Public Storage employees, customers and fans were enticed to enter by the deadline. After careful consideration, the company announced five finalists—three fans and two employee groups—to have their heartwarming holiday videos posted to the Public Storage YouTube channel last week.

According to contest rules, their fates were then in the hands of YouTube viewers. Finalist videos with the most views by the end of the night December 12 were declared the winners.

The entertaining duo of Public Storage managers in Annapolis popped out of wardrobe boxes wrapped as presents in their video and won with more than 670 views. The pair said the best part of making the video was having fun together—just what the holiday season is about!

“It’s something fun to do with her, and that’s great,” said Ami of her colleague and partner in holiday-video cheer.

The winning fan video that celebrated National Parks Week was created by Thiago, a cool dad from El Paso, Texas, who takes his family on adventures monthly. His video jumped ahead of the competition with more than 1,470 views!

“I want to inspire families to get out in the outdoors during National Parks Week, when admission is free,” he said.
