Pure Technologies Recognizes Employees Through Innovation Awards

Canada NewsWire

CALGARY, April 20, 2016 /CNW/ -  Pure Technologies Ltd. ("Pure" or the "Company") recently announced the recipients of its second annual Innovation Awards, which highlight extraordinary employee contributions that have improved Pure's technologies and services over the past year.

"The Innovation Awards are both a reflection and extension of Pure's culture," said Jack Elliott, Pure's President and CEO. "We're a technology-based company that innovates on a daily basis, but these awards recognize employee-led initiatives. These are individuals that have gone above and beyond their daily duties and taken the initiative to contribute to the improvement of our business. We strive to reinforce this type of excellence in our organization and we believe this vested interest from our employees sets us apart from our peers.

"Pure has a diverse portfolio of proprietary technologies and services for the inspection, monitoring and management of aging pipeline infrastructure. This means that most of our research and development is directed towards enhancing the capabilities of our existing technologies and processes to improve the information we can provide to our utility partners. The same principle holds true for entries into the Innovation Awards. This year, over 23 different employee innovations were submitted and many were for improvements that will benefit our clients by  enhancing their understanding of the condition of their infrastructure."

The Innovation Awards are held annually for non-management level employees to submit innovations for consideration by a judging panel of senior management. In addition to recognizing achievements in standard categories of Engineering, Technology, Operations, and Business Practices, the judges recognized two other contributions in a category called Game Changers. These Game Changers are innovations that are expected to have a material impact on Pure's business.

All winners receive a cash prize and trophy, and will be formally recognized at Pure's Annual General Meeting on May 4, 2016.
