Putnam High Income Securities Fund Announces Voting Results of Annual Shareholder Meeting

BOSTON -- 

Putnam High Income Securities Fund (NYSE: PCF) today announced that IVS Associates, Inc., the independent inspector of election at the May 21, 2018 adjourned meeting of shareholders, has certified the voting results of the meeting.

The certified results show that shareholders voted to fix the number of trustees at seven and elect Phillip Goldstein, Rajeev Das, Andrew Dakos, Richard Dayan, Gerald Hellerman, Ben Harris and Moritz Sell, who were nominated by Full Value Partners, L.P., a shareholder of the Fund and a member of the Bulldog Investors Group of Funds. Putnam Investment Management, LLC will manage the Fund during a transition period ending on July 23, 2018.

In addition, the certified voting results show that a shareholder proposal requesting that the Board of Trustees of the Fund authorize a self-tender offer for at least 50% of the outstanding common shares of the Fund at or close to net asset value was approved.
