The ThinkLA IDEA Awards was founded eight years ago, and celebrates excellence and achievement across Southern California's advertising and marketing industry. Judged by a panel of industry experts the 'Best Social Campaign' acknowledges exciting and effective approaches to shaping social conversation in support of marketing efforts. The QYOU's campaign was selected for utilizing the social video service Musical.ly as a core platform to target a highly engaged younger audience.

Musical.ly lets users create 15-second music videos of their favorite songs to share with friends, which connected with the music-focused Trolls movie. QYOU utilized the platform to build engagement through co-creation and fans' love of music, by enlisting popular Musical.ly influencers such as Danielle Cohn, Jayden Bartels, Ruby Rose Turner and Casey Simpson to create videos of themselves singing to music hits from the movie. The videos were shared with over 22 million followers achieving 13.8% engagement, and helping the Trolls Musical.ly page to increase its followers by 23%.

"The QYOU is honored to receive this industry acknowledgement. Central to QYOU's business is our work with digital content creators / Influencers who are the stars of our television shows, TV networks' programming, and influencer marketing campaigns, said Glenn Ginsburg, SVP Global Partnerships at QYOU Media. "Our deep knowledge of, and relationships within, the creator community enables us to identify and work with talent that best aligns with our brand partners. We believe that advertising does not have to be disruptive and through influencers, with their direct audience connections, provide great opportunities for brands to convey their messages in the content that Millennials and Gen Z audiences seek out."
