("Supremex" or the "Company") (TSX: SXP), a leading North American manufacturer and marketer of a broad range of stock and custom envelopes and growing provider of packaging and specialty products, today announced the appointment of Bertrand Jolicoeur as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary effective April 24, 2017.

Mr. Jolicoeur has over 30 years of experience as a senior financial executive and corporate controller for both large privately held and publicly traded companies. Most recently, he was Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Sanimax Industries Inc., a privately held rendering company with 1,200 employees in Canada, the United-States and Brazil. Before joining Sanimax in 2008, Mr. Jolicoeur held various positions in corporate finance for publicly held multi-divisional and international manufacturing companies. He started his accounting career at KPMG in 1985 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance and Accounting from McGill University and a CPA (CA) designation.

After ensuring a seamless transition Lyne Bégin, Interim Vice-President of Finance, will return to her role as Corporate Controller. The Board of Directors and I wish to thank Ms. Bégin for her selfless dedication and commitment to Supremex during a period of rapid growth and an especially busy 2016 year-end.  Ms. Bégin is in her second stint as Corporate Controller with Supremex, most recently from 2014 and prior to that from 1994 to 2006 and will continue to be involved in all aspects of the Company's financial reporting, treasury management, planning and analysis.

Mr. Jolicoeur is joining the ranks of a stronger executive team. Several initiatives have recently been implemented to support the ongoing M&A, growth and diversification strategies. Mike Daniel has been appointed Vice President & General Manager of Supremex USA, a new role created to oversee all U.S. envelope divisions, which extends beyond his previous responsibilities as General Manager of Bowers Envelope. Rick Nieuwendyk has been promoted to Corporate Development, Integration and Special Projects Manager and Vera Rego will be assuming responsibility for a new role as Corporate Human Resource and Development Manager. Rick and Vera have been in management capacities at Supremex for 24 and 12 years respectively.
