Troilus Provides Update on Forest Fire Situation in Northern Quebec

MONTREAL, June 05, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Troilus Gold Corp. (“Troilus” or the “Company”, TSX: TLG; OTCQX: CHXMF; FSE: CM5R) advises that in response to worsening forest fire conditions in the Eeyou-Istchee James Bay region of northern Quebec over the weekend, the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources & Forests announced prohibitions regarding forest access on Crown lands and closed roads for reasons of public safety. The Route du Nord, which provides the only road access to the Troilus site, is currently closed. As a result, operations at the Troilus site have been suspended and staff have been withdrawn as a safety precaution.

Justin Reid, CEO and Director of Troilus commented, “We are carefully monitoring the situation and will continue to comply with local directives to ensure the health and safety of our staff and local communities. All personnel are safe, and the Troilus site is secure. The temporary closure is not anticipated to have a material impact on our business. We will provide further updates as the situation continues to evolve.”
