This Is How Crypto Will Go Mainstream

Public Aggregation ChannelJanuary 20, 2022
The key to crypto’s integration into mainstream use is reducing “friction.” Whether it’s downloading MetaMask, operating a crypto wallet, navigating peer-to-peer transactions, or even simply opening accounts with Binance, Coinbase, or Kraken, there’s a lot of ground for the average person to navigate right now. Ed Woodford is on a mission to speed crypto adoption by the public. And he just raised $105 million to fund that mission. He is working with some of the largest institutions in the world, including Bain Capital, to bring the Web 2.0 user experience to crypto’s decentralized world. Institutional interest is booming, and this factor could prove critical to building robust decentralized financial infrastructure capable of supporting use by the masses. Woodford, co-founder and CEO of ZeroHash, talks about next steps with Santiago Velez, co-founder and division lead of research and development of Block Digital. Recorded on January 13, 2021.

Prime Trust Has the Ultimate Set of Fintech Tools
Blockchain startups and TradFi companies face many challenges when they choose to enter the cryptoverse. To build an ecosystem capable of supporting mass adoption requires companies with the proper fintech tools and the knowledge to use them properly. One of those companies is Prime Trust, which offers an all-in-one financial infrastructure service to solve issues like custody, compliance, payment settlement, API documentation, and many more. Prime Trust CFO Rodrigo Vicuna joins Real Vision’s Ash Bennington to talk about how such functionalities are essential to scaling successful crypto companies. Vicuna also shares his thoughts on liquidity, best execution, and retail misconceptions. Recorded on May 17, 2022.
Let the People Play (and Profit From) Blockchain Games
Have you ever wondered what it will take to get to a billion crypto users? That’s widespread adoption. And it’s easier said than done. As CMT Digital’s Sam Hallene sees it, blockchain gaming projects can make it happen. Of course, it will take major investment. But there are viable models. Among the fastest-growing markets in terms of blockchain adoption are Argentina, the Philippines, and Nigeria, where people earn extra income by playing games like Axie Infinity. These are young, tech-savvy populations particularly open to crypto. Sam joins Real Vision’s Ash Bennington for a deep dive into Axie Infinity and other blockchain games, focusing on what makes projects stand out. Sam also shares his thoughts on currency and political risks when it comes to investing in emerging markets. Recorded on May 5, 2022.
Crypto's Fate Is Tied to Old School Finance
There's a narrative in the crypto space that digital assets are uncorrelated to other markets. In fact, the opposite is true. Francis Hunt returns to analyze Bitcoin's price action relative to forex markets, bonds, and U.S. equities. We could see a brief rally, but we're still in a "risk-off environment," says Hunt. "Do not become overly aggressive to the bullish side. People are going to call this bottom one cycle too soon." But it's not all doom and gloom from The Market Sniper. Hunt believes Federal Reserve policy is driving U.S. dollar strength, so he's trading the greenback. He walks Real Vision's Ash Bennington through his forex trades, noting that forex markets have been "the new crypto markets." Recorded on May 17, 2022.
